About Us
Hi all!
My name is Amber Richman. I own and operate Cambio with my brother, Austin Richman. I want to personally thank you for making Cambio your home studio. It is a project that comes straight from our hearts and it means so much that you choose to spend your precious time with us!
Before Cambio, I taught elementary school and yoga and Austin taught music and yoga. Each working more than one job, we still couldn't afford to do yoga regularly. We realized that yoga had become an exclusive practice aimed at a very small section of our city's demographics.
We opened Cambio with a mission to make yoga accessible to ALL. We continue to work toward this with our donation model, our community based focus, our down-to-earth teachers, and our ever-broadening range of classes. We have classes for a variety of ages and needs, from Little Kids Yoga to Adaptive Yoga (for those with physical disability or impaired mobility), and so many opportunities in between. Our dad even poured a concrete wheelchair ramp at the back door because the other one was at the other end of our little strip mall. The whole family and all of our teachers are on board with this mission. We know we still have work to do; we are always looking for ways to become more inclusive and invite your ideas about this!
Ultimately, the biggest barrier to trying yoga is in people's minds. It can be fear of the unknown or preconceived notions about what yoga is and who yoga is for. Thanks to you telling your friends and loved ones about us, that barrier is coming down.
Let's continue to make local yoga a welcoming experience for everyone together. Let's continue to grow healthier and happier as a community together.
Come as you are.
You are perfect in your imperfections and we love you for it!
With Gratitude,
Amber
